French Toast Bread Pudding:


Ingredients:


* 1 loaf of challah bread, cubed

* 4 large eggs

* 1 cup milk

* 1/2 cup heavy cream

* 1/4 cup sugar

* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

* 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

* 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

* 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

* Butter or cooking spray


Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

3. Add bread cubes to the egg mixture and stir to coat.

4. Let the bread soak for about 10 minutes, or until it has absorbed most of the liquid.

5. Stir in raisins, if using.

6. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

7. Pour the bread pudding mixture into the prepared baking dish.

8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.

9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
